Traffic Light Controlled Roundabouts
The main M42 runs along the Solihull area and has multi lane, traffic light controlled roundabouts at the junctions of A34, A41 and A45. Negotiating such junctions will require the expertise of your Instructor. The Instructor will instil in you the ability to forward plan which will enable you to be in the appropriate lane for the exit required at the roundabouts.
Surrounding the Solihull area are the country lanes around Knowle, Dorridge, Hockley Heath, Earlswood, Cheswick Green, Hampton in Arden and Catherine de Barnes. Some of these country lanes have national speed limits with difficult bends. Your 4 Wheelz Instructor will show and even demonstrate how to manage your speeds safely. Approaching the bends in the correct speed and gears will be crucial in order to give you the car control needed to safely manage them. Lane discipline has to be adhered to strictly so that you are safe at all times. Your 4 Wheelz Instructor will help you to improve your scanning skills so that you are able to spot signs and road markings early to enable you to be in the correct lanes. There are many road junctions in the Solihull area where you will need to plan early.
